Translational Life Science Technology (TLST) Info Session
UMBC's new, innovative B.S. offered at UMBC-Shady Grove
Don't Miss Out!
Join us on Wednesday, April 10th during FREE HOUR (12 - 12:50 p.m.) in Fine Arts 306 to learn more about Translational Life Science Technology (TLST), UMBC's new, innovative B.S. offered at UMBC-Shady Grove in Rockville, Maryland, and find out if you qualify for our inaugural $3,000 TLST scholarship. Pizza will be provided.
TLST is a unique degree designed for students who want to be competitive in the biotechnology industry. This degree program combines the theory of a traditional life science degree with hands-on, real-world applications of the process for turning scientific discoveries into life-saving solutions.
During this event, Dr. Annica Wayman, Associate Dean for Shady Grove Affairs in CNMS, will introduce the TLST program, prerequisites and curriculum, as well as available internship opportunities and career pathways to interested UMBC biology students who have roots in Montgomery County. We will also address next steps regarding change of major and campus location should you decide to pursue UMBC's TLST program. Not to worry -- it's a fairly straightforward process!
