The Future Technical Leaders (FTL) Program seeks high potential advanced degree candidates from all technical backgrounds. Our program consists of three one-year assignments in different roles, different organizations within Northrop Grumman, different parts of the country and serving different customer sets and mission areas. Rotation assignment(s) may include: Systems or software engineering, IRAD/CRADs in any of our technology areas, or opportunities to explore such things as business development and project management.
The goal is to give the participants three opportunities to considerably expand their resume and experience base, while providing significantly enhanced mentoring by experts in the field as well as networking and development opportunities to accelerate their technical, leadership and business skill development. We strive to give participants insight into as much of our company as possible, enabling them to select the perfect job within NG for themselves at program completion.
Candidate must be working on a masters, doctorate or post-doctoral fellowship in a STEM field. Must have leadership and communication skills demonstrated through such things as academic group projects, involvement in professional associations or activities in other external organizations. Must be willing to relocate for rotations, be a US Citizen and be able to obtain high level security clearances.
Applied technical experience. Familiarity with systems engineering and/or software development. An excellent academic record, reflected in high GPA and/or outstanding recommendation letters.
