UMBC Alumni are returning to share their experiences and strategies for making the most of your time at UMBC.
Panelists include:
Aaron Kennet ‘16, Aaron M Kennet currently serves as an Opportunity Coordinator for Economic Growth programming at DAI Global LLC, a large international development firm that conducts work with USAID. In addition to his day job, Aaron leads Respond Crisis Translation´s network of Russian translators, and occasionally supports other post-Soviet language volunteer teams. As a Fulbright English Teaching Fellow in Ukraine, Aaron had the opportunity to support ongoing efforts of a variety of NGOs, universities, and civil society leaders in establishing sustainable academic integrity programs in Ukrainian higher education institutions, and promoted equitable youth mobility in Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. He enjoys studying the intersection of language and identity throughout the countries that make up the Former Soviet Union, and is especially interested in the convergence of language, heritage, and memory politics in Ukraine. Aaron speaks English, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, and Ukrainian.
