THE WORLD.
The oceans have inspired awe and intrigue since the beginning of
time, with heroic tales of exploration passed down through countless
generations. Now, we are offering a unique ocean educational adventure:
the chance for twelve young explorers to travel to Gibraltar on January
5thand join OceanX’s research and exploration vessel, OceanXplorer, on
its voyage to Malta.
For a chance to join the expedition, budding university-aged
explorers are invited to answer the following prompt: Describe your
dream scientific ocean exploration and storytelling project. How would
you use OceanXplorer’s state-of-the-art facilities and resources in
your mission? Get creative and show us your exploration chops.
Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM EST November 18, 2021.
We are looking for individuals of all backgrounds and disciplines
(physical and biological sciences, engineering, filmmaking, technology,
communications, etc.), who are interested in pursuing a career focused
on the ocean. Selected candidates will have full financial support for
travel, lodging and meals.
Explorers will participate in an eleven-to fourteen-night expedition aboard OceanXplorer, OceanX’s one-of-a-kind, world-class, 87-meter research and exploration vessel. Explorers will hear amazing tales of past missions, learn from our expert team of scientists, storytellers and crew members, execute important scientific, media and operations projects in furtherance of our social welfare mission, and gain firsthand experience in ocean exploration.
