Erickson Senior Living is proactively recruiting Staff Accountant candidates for projected growth at our corporate office in Catonsville, MD.
This role will be expected to work in office full-time with one remote day weekly.
How you will make an impact:
Maintaining the General Ledger (dollars and statistics) for assigned lines of business and/or communities.
Preparing journal entries and maintain monthly accounting records.
Reconciling assigned bank and balance sheet accounts.
Resolving outstanding items on account reconciliations in conjunction with other departments as necessary.
Preparing and posting adjustments in the General Ledger.
Preparing or assisting in the preparation of assigned month-end financial reports, including reviewing reports for unusual trends, comparing current month results to prior month and investigating trends.
Preparing or assisting in the preparation of assigned schedules for the month-end community Financial Packages.
Preparing assigned bank wire transfers.
Assisting in the annual audit, including preparation of audit shell for an assigned community.
Providing supporting documentation for the preparation of the communities’ tax returns and regulatory filings.
Seeking and identifying more efficient accounting procedures within the department.
Assisting in the development of new procedures and controls.

What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or 2 – 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus, but not required.
