- Managed updates and maintenance for the myMDthink portal and E&E application, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
- Analyzed user feedback and bug reports, prioritizing critical issues to enhance user satisfaction.
- Conducted thorough testing, resolving bugs and ensuring seamless operation across various platforms.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to implement feature enhancements aligned with user needs and business objectives.
- Upheld security standards by applying timely updates and patches, safeguarding user data and system integrity.
- Improved website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance to meet user expectations.

What have you enjoyed the most about your position and organization?
As my role as Jr. Java Developer at Maryland Department of Health, I enjoyed coding for the website and creating APIs for the same. I really had fun connecting with my team and working on the issues.
How do you believe you have made an impact through your work?
My work has left a tangible impact by enhancing the user experience, optimizing functionality, collaborating effectively, maintaining security, ensuring accurate content, improving the user interface, promoting transparency, facilitating smooth deployments, and addressing issues promptly. These contributions collectively reflect my dedication to maintaining a high-quality myMDthink portal and E&E application that meets user needs and exceeds expectations.
What advice would you give to another student who is seeking an internship or similar experience?
Build projects of your own interest and create a resume that reflects your work and passion. Being calm and professional is the key to networking while doing an internship like this, which may open a lot of career opportunities.

Working in this role has been a dynamic journey of constant growth and impact. Every bug fixed, every enhancement implemented, and every collaborative effort has fueled my passion for optimizing user experiences.
