Tell us about your internship, co-op, or research opportunity, including your day-to-day responsibilities:
In my department, I helped ensure that the workers in the field were performing their tasks as reported, safely and responsibly. This involved going out into the field with my department and observing people in action. Additionally, I was assigned several projects to work on within and outside of my department. All interns were grouped to coordinate on a project, culminating in a slideshow presentation detailing our experience and ideas. The company also organized numerous events to help us network with other branches.
Describe the process of obtaining your position. When did you hear of the position and submit your application?
I heard about this position from a family friend. I visited the company's website, where I found several internship postings and applied for all of them. I submitted my application approximately a week later, on October 20th of last year.

What have you enjoyed the most about your position and organization?
I enjoyed meeting everyone in my department and seeing how genuinely passionate they were about their work.
How do you believe you have made an impact through your work?
I helped expedite the completion of several office tasks and assisted BGE in finding vendors for their annual Safety Expo.
What advice would you give to another student who is seeking an internship or similar experience?
I believe that anyone applying for a position at this company should confidently showcase their skills and make their capabilities known.
This position helped prepare me for working in a corporate setting and provided valuable real-world experience for a future career after college.
