Dinner with Friends Fall 2024
Dinner with Friends is an engaging, facilitated conversation that will connect you with other members of the UMBC community. The Center for Democracy and Civic Life will provide a free catered dinner. This program is open to all members of the UMBC community: undergraduate and graduate students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
At Dinner with Friends, you'll participate in a small group discussion with other UMBC community members about issues affecting our campus community (e.g., mental health; equity and inclusion). Students, faculty, staff, and alumni who participate in Dinners with Friends report that they have wonderful experiences sharing stories, learning about each other’s experiences, and discussing how they can move forward together. As one participant shared when reflecting on their takeaways from the experience, “There are folks across campus who are genuinely interested in creating change and see our community grow into the best inclusive version of UMBC.”
We will share the fall 2024 Dinner with Friends RSVP form, location, and the full list of discussion topics in the coming weeks. Sign up to be notified when we share this information.
