CS3 Brownbag: Faculty and Graduate Students
Non-Academic Publishing
Your research can inform public conversation, but only if it reaches people outside the academy. With election season underway, this brownbag is a chance to talk about writing for non-academic audiences, including op-eds, blog posts and essays, and legislative testimony. Come share your interest in and experience with these formats, swap tips on what has worked (and what hasn't), and think through how to translate technical expertise into writing that resonates with a broad audience. Whether you've published a dozen op-eds or have never pitched one, all levels of experience are welcome.
