Making UMBC Non-Traditional Student Friendly
Two Senators' Spring Initiative
posted over 12 years ago
Hi everyone. My name's Tyler and I'm currently serving on the UMBC SGA's Senate.
My friend, and fellow Senator, Max Barnhart and I are working on an initiative aimed at improving student life for the non-traditional student. The term "non-traditional student" can refer to commuters, part-time students, returning students, students that hold full-time jobs, etc.
Our initiative is to make sure that all resources available to the traditional student are also available to non-traditional students. So far our goals include tailoring advising to better accommodate non-tradtional students and creating a stronger community for non-traditional students.
So this is our question for you:
What can UMBC do to better provide for the non-traditional student community?
