Dear USU Presidents and Chancellors,
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new grant opportunity for USU Members.
Seeding Innovation for 21st Century Skills" identifies and scales collaborative projects that work to accelerate 21st Century skill acquisition with a particular interest in low-income undergraduate first time in college, and transfer students. The Collaborative Opportunity Grant (COG) is a seed fund that invests $50,000 in emerging innovations that transform institutional practices, programs, policies, and culture to improve student success and college-to-career connections. Core to the initiative is that campus projects must engage deeply with an external partner(s) acknowledging the intersecting nature of institutional change to positively impacts the ways students obtain skills needed in the local labor market. This project is funded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.
Please review the attached RFP for more information. We will also distribute this RFP to our USU strands but note that we will only consider one application per institution. Letters of Intent are due October 23; full applications are due November 6. Note, there is an optional information session October 16, 2pm Eastern. Please have interested parties RSVP directly to Christel (cperkins@aplu.org) for call in information or any questions on this initiative.
All the very best,
Shari
