Lunch in the Lounge: Featuring Dr. Joseph Tatarewicz
The Honors College Council presents their monthly Lunch in the Lounge Event!
On Wed., Nov. 20 from 12 - 1 PM, please join Dr. Joseph Tatarewicz, Associate Professor, History and Director, Human Context of Science & Technology Program.
This Fall, space is all the rage and everywhere on the big and 3-D screen—except for real space missions. NASA, the White House, and Congress are spinning their planning committees in opposite directions, designing systems whose costs so outstrip even optimistic budgets that there will be no money for gas if and when they turn the key. What Gives?
Dr. Tatarewicz, is author of Space Technology and Planetary Astronomy, a contributor to The Space Telescope: A Study of NASA, Science, Technology, and Politics, and has authored numerous articles and reviews for professional journals and publications in the history of science and technology.
Dr. Tatarewicz recently completed a NASA-sponsored scholarly history, Exploring the Solar System: the Planetary Geosciences Since Galileo and was awarded the 1997 History Manuscript Award of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
