“I” is for intersections: The Cultural Intersection
of Identity & Expression. How to Be a Better Ally to QPOC
A blend of The Mosaic’s Better Ally and Music in The Mosaic series, this session will highlight the stories of queer & trans people of color, specifically the historical cultural contributions to the LGBTQIA2+ community as a whole, while also exploring the intersectional marginalization that they experience.
Pop culture influence can be found across all communities, trends, and even our identities. When we think about pop culture and how it can be influenced, we may not always think of our racial/ethnic cultural identities or our gender.sexual expressions and identities. Join us for a conversation on the intersection of these two salient communities, but also how these communities have influenced popular culture.
