The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is Hiring!

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is hiring Scholarships Assistants. We are looking for focused and detail-oriented undergraduate students to fill vacancies beginning May 28th. The position does require on campus availability.

This position will allow you to work on your communication and problem solving skills as well as provide great work experience. Students who are hired may continue with our office until they complete their undergraduate degrees.  

Scholarships Assistants are an integral part of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. They assist thousands of students and families with questions on the scholarships process. No previous scholarship experience is required for consideration. Scholarship Assistants are often the first point of contact when a student or parent calls, emails or visits the office with a scholarship inquiry. Some of the duties include providing customer service, answering phone calls, responding to emails sent by students and parents, accepting documents and logging them to student accounts, connecting students with appropriate campus resources, instructing students and parents on how to navigate myUMBC, the website, Scholarship Retriever, and other duties as assigned.
