Join us for a whole week of fun-filled activities! This is an open invitation to the ENTIRE UMBC community!
Monday, March 30th from 11am-2pm in Commons Breezeway – ISLAMIC ART & CALLIGRAPHY. Appreciate the beauty of Islamic Art and the Arabic language, get your name done in calligraphy, and if you would like you can get henna done for $2/hand!
Tuesday, March 31st from 11am-2pm on Commons Main Street – PURPLE HIJAB DAY. Try on hijabs/kufis/kefayyahs and discuss women's rights in Islam! Make sure to wear the color purple in solidarity with women's equality, as it is currently Women's History Month. We will also be selling purple hijabs!
Wednesday, April 1st from 11am-2pm in Commons Breezeway – ICE CREAM SOCIAL. Learn some Islamic trivia and you win a free ice cream sundae!
Thursday, April 2nd beginning at 6pm, Commons Skylight – ISLAM IN AMERICA. Join us for an interactive discussion led by special guest speakers as we explore how to find the balance between "Muslim-ness" and "American-ness."
Friday, April 3rd – SPECIAL DAY on the QUAD. At 1:15pm, join us for an outdoor JUMMAH led by Shaykh Yaseen. And afterwards, stick around for our Friday FUN DAY; there will be a variety of field day activities, games, and excitement. All of this will continue until 5pm.
**On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Dhuhr congregation will be held at 1:30pm outside on the Commons Terrace (next to lecture hall 1)!
