Incident Description: An e-scooter was reported stolen from a bicycle rack outside of Chesapeake Hall. The theft occurred between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Safety Tips
Victims are not to blame. Perpetrators are responsible for criminal behavior. The following safety tips may reduce vulnerability:
- Stay alert and attuned to people are circumstances around you. Report suspicious activity to UMBC Police immediately.
- Lock your scooter to a bicycle rack with a high quality U-lock.
- Remove the battery if possible.
- Register your e-scooter with Parking Services.
- Call UMBC Police at 410-455-5555 to request a safety escort if you feel unsafe walking on or near campus.
- Students in need of support can contact Retriever Integrated Health.
- Faculty and staff can access support through the Employee Assistance Program.
- Community members may report sexual misconduct, discrimination, and bias by completing the Office of Equity and Civil Rights Confidential Online Reporting Form.
