Based on feedback from members of the community, we wanted to follow up to clarify a few details and add a date correction regarding the upcoming on-campus external event at the UMBC Event Center.
The event will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each week, beginning tomorrow, Friday, July 12 and ending Sunday, August 18.
It is estimated there will be more than 5,000 attendees participating in the event over the next six weeks. In anticipation of heavier than normal traffic on the days we are open and the event takes place, UMBC police will be on-hand to direct traffic in all high-congestion areas. Parking for the event is reserved for Stadium Lot, Lot 24, and Commons Garage. Parking Services will be closely monitoring lots and spaces to ensure designated employee parking remains open to permit holders.
As a reminder, alternative work arrangements or flexibility in work schedules may be offered to employees at their supervisors’ discretion.
