The scholarship application is fairly short (see questions below), and preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need and students applying to UMBC faculty-led or exchange programs.

2. How will your chosen study abroad program and choice of location impact your academic career at UMBC and your professional career upon graduation?
3. While the CAHSS Dean’s Scholarship will help to relieve some of the financial burden associated with studying abroad, it is not meant to cover all costs associated with your study abroad experience. Describe how you plan to fund the remaining expenses involved in your study abroad program.
