The Center for Global Engagement's Education Abroad Office invites faculty to propose to lead a study abroad program. Faculty members interested in proposing a program should review the Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program Handbook and meet with Katie Heird, Director of Education Abroad & Global Learning.
A complete Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program Proposal Packet should be submitted to educationabroad@umbc.edu by the deadline to be considered.
Proposal deadlines:
Summer 2026 programs: April 1, 2025
Winter/Spring Break 2027 programs: November 1, 2025
Important: Faculty directors must consult with their academic department chair(s) before submitting a proposal. Chairs will be asked to review your program proposal according to the Academic Department Chair(s) Checklist.
