• Wondering how you can get scholarships to study abroad? Join our virtual Hot Topics Session today, Tuesday, September 2nd, from 12-12:30 pm to learn about opportunities and how to navigate the process. 

• CAHSS Dean’s Scholarship for Education Abroad  |  Due September 22, 2025 
  Applicants must have at least one major in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and have applied for a study abroad program through UMBC’s Center for Education Abroad The application is available on UMBC Scholarship Retriever.

• The Practice of Management in Panama (Winter 2026) Information SessionSeptember 8, 2025  |  12:00PM-1PM  |  ITE 404a Want to spend winter break gaining credits, earning a micro-credential, and immersing yourself in Panama’s business scene? Come to our info session to learn all about this amazing opportunity!

• Phage Hunters in Barcelona (Winter 2026) Information SessionSeptember 9, 2025  |  5:30PM-6PM  |  University Center 115 Come learn about this fantastic opportunity to study Biology in Barcelona, Spain this Winter 2026.  Dr. Steven Caruso will be sharing stories from last year's program, giving course overviews, and talking about cultural excursions included in the program fee.

Just for Faculty: 

• Applications for the Fall 2025 Global Learning Lab are due tomorrow, September 3. The Lab is a cohort-style, semester-long program that provides a framework for faculty to exchange best practices and innovative models for expanding access to global learning opportunities over a series of four workshops. Global Learning Fellows receive a $1,500 professional development stipend to support a global learning project.
