The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship is due this Thursday, October 1st. Our Education Abroad Advisor, Alicyn Curtis, is available to provide last minute reviews this week. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please email educationabroad@umbc.edu. 

Deadline for 3 Faculty-Led Programs Extended

The Education Abroad Office has extended the deadlines for our Statistics in India, Photography in Mexico, and English in Senegal Faculty-Led Programs! Applications for these programs are now due on October 9th. Please reach out to educationabroad@umbc.edu with any questions. We can't wait to see your applications!

• LatinX Film Festival | Library Gallery | 5:30-7:30PM
  In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the MLLI department, UMBC Library, Albin O. Kuhn and Office of Community and Culture present, The Latinx Film Festival. Grab your dinner and come to the Library Gallery to watch an inspiring true story of a cross-country team from a mainly Latino high school in California. “McFarland USA” is a powerful story about culture, community, and the true meaning of team. Watch how a small town transformed a coach, and how a coach helped a team make history.

• Stories and Reflections on German Re-Unification: Talk by Dr. Janine Ludwig | Hybrid, Fine Arts 459 | 12PM-1PM
  Come listen to Prof. Dr. Janine Ludwig, Academic Director of the William G. and Elke Durden Dickinson in Bremen Program, share her personal story of growing up in East Germany and experiencing events leading up to Re-Unification and beyond, East German frustrations and German-German sensitivities. Light German snacks will be provided for in-person attendees.
