We are going to MilliporeSigma. Free transportation is provided, but a RSVP is required in Handshake. Register Here Now!Join us for a unique student experience at MilliporeSigma’s Rockville site, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the biotechnology industry. This visit will include an organizational overview, site tour, networking lunch, and a panel session with staff representing a variety of roles and backgrounds. You’ll gain exposure to different areas across the company — from lab work to quality assurance, operations, and more — all designed to introduce you to the exciting possibilities in biotech and contract testing services.
- Bus departs UMBC (9:00 AM)
- Company/Organizational Overview (10:05 AM – 10:50 AM)
- Tour of Facilities (10:50 AM – 11:30 AM)
- Lunch Break (11:30 AM – 12:15 PM) (Lunch will be provided)
- Panel Session with Employees (12:20 PM – 1:00 PM)
- Bus arrives back at UMBC (2:00 PM)
MilliporeSigma - Work Areas
Internship opportunities are open to students of all class years, and full-time roles are available to graduating seniors. Milliporesigma is excited to connect with life sciences majors from all academic years who are interested in lab experience and learning more about biotechnology and contract testing services. Also welcoming students from other disciplines such as operations, project management, quality assurance, and supply chain.

There’s no formal dress code; we suggest casual or business casual attire, whichever feels comfortable.
