Learn about ongoing research projects, meet the faculty, visit their labs, and get involved in research in UMBC's CSEE Department. Research projects include a broad spectrum of activities in computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. Specific areas include AI, machine learning, robotics, cybersecurity, privacy, IoT, cyber-physical systems, VLSI, computer architecture, quantum computing, graphics, visualization, hardware systems, signal processing, communications, photonics, and more. The day will start with a breakfast for new CSEE graduate students from 8:00 am to 9:00 am in ITE 325b.
Between 9 am and 11 am, faculty members will give short talks on their research in ITE 104 (lecture hall VII). Presentation slides.
From 11 am to 1 pm, participating labs will be open for students to visit, see demonstrations, and meet some of their members.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Convocation celebration from 3:30 to 4:30, which brings faculty, staff, and students together in the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena for the formal beginning of a new academic year.
