Dr. Christine Mallinson, Professor of Language, Literacy & Culture and Director of the Center for Social Science Scholarship, was justappointed the 2023-2024 Lipitz Distinguished Professor in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Established by the Roger C. Lipitz and the Lipitz Family Foundation,
the fellowship is intended "to recognize and support innovative and
distinguished teaching and/or research in the Arts, Humanities and
Social Sciences." She will be taking the coming academic year to
move her research forward, especially her two current collaborative NSF
funded projects at the intersection of language, culture, technology,
and society.
