Named after Dr. Jodi Crandall, LLC’s founder and professor emerita, this fellowship provides current LLC doctoral students with the means to conduct collaborative interdisciplinary research. This research might be related to dissertation research, but should not be their actual dissertation research.
Awards have been made annually in the spring since 2015. Information about previous award winners’ research topics can be found at https://llc.umbc.edu/student-initiatives/jodi-crandall-fellowship/
All applicants must submit:
· a one-page proposal which includes a description of the specific project, its relevance to LLC, and its relevance (if any) to dissertation research
· who will be collaborating with the applicant (must be someone formally connected to LLC) — fellow LLC students, alumni, faculty, or affiliate faculty. Potential collaborators can be found at https://llc.umbc.edu/people/
· a detailed budget
More than one award may be made per year, but no award will be greater than $1,500.
