Summer Game Jam 2014
Friday, July 25, 2014 at 6:30 PM - Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 5:30 PM
What: Theme Oriented Game Jam hosted by University of Maryland Baltimore
County's Game Developers Club
Who: Anyone and everyone of any skill level. Bring your friends! We're
especially encouraging artists for both music and graphics for the jam!
How long? it's non-stop from 6:30 PM on Friday to 5:00PM on sunday, then we
spend the next hour or more presenting the game.
What else do we need to know? A 72 hour game jam hosted by UMBC's Game
Developers Club: non-competitive, with a goal in fostering community
relationships, testing fresh ideas, and practice cramming speeds in a friendly
team environment. This summer we'll be going by a structure similar to past
jams. At the jam, everyone will write down a verb, adjective, and noun (for
example: green flying robots) and then we vote on 1 for each, and it becomes
the jam theme.
Is that all? Since Saturday will be a full day, we're encouraging pot luck for
lunch! We're going to try and have tables set up outside for participants to
bring and share food! Food is great, so everyone is encouraged to bring
something.
